Terms of service — plain version first
The short version: Pokékipe is a free analytics tool built on top of Smogon's public data. Use it, enjoy it, don't abuse it, and remember that we provide it as-is. The long version is below.

- • We provide the service as-is, without warranty. You use it at your own risk.
Who we are and what this document covers
Pokékipe ("we", "us", "the service") is an independent competitive Pokémon analytics platform. These terms of service ("terms") govern your access to and use of the website pokékipe.com and its features. By using Pokékipe, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What Pokékipe is — and is not
Pokékipe is an analytics platform that transforms Smogon's monthly public statistics into interactive dashboards, Pokémon profiles, team-building tools, replay analysis and competitive guides. We are independent: we are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Smogon, Pokémon Showdown, The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Game Freak or Creatures Inc.
Pokékipe is not a Pokémon simulator and does not host battles. Battles happen on Pokémon Showdown; Pokékipe only analyses public data about them.
Your account (optional)
You can use the vast majority of Pokékipe without any account. If you choose to sign in, it is exclusively via Google OAuth or Discord OAuth — we do not offer password-based sign-up, and we do not store passwords. You are responsible for keeping your Google or Discord account secure.
You can delete your Pokékipe account at any time from the Account → Danger Zone section. Deletion is immediate and irreversible. Your locally-stored Box is not affected; it lives in your browser.
Acceptable use
Pokékipe is for players, teambuilders, coaches, analysts and curious humans. To keep the service usable for everyone, you agree not to:
- Scrape the site at industrial rates, circumvent caching, or otherwise impose an unreasonable load on our servers.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or access non-public APIs without permission.
- Use Pokékipe to harass, dox, impersonate or attack other players, Showdown users or community members.
- Upload illegal, hateful, sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate content through any user-generated feature.
- Resell, re-host or repackage Pokékipe's content or data without written permission.
- Interfere with security features, authentication, rate limits or site integrity.
We reserve the right to throttle, restrict or terminate access to anyone who breaks these rules — at our sole discretion, without refund (there is nothing to refund) and without notice where necessary to protect the service.
Third-party content and intellectual property
Pokémon, Pokémon character names, sprites, ability and move names are trademarks of The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures Inc. Pokékipe uses them under fair use for analytical and educational purposes only. No ownership is claimed.
Usage statistics are sourced from Smogon's public monthly stats, generated from battles played on Pokémon Showdown. We credit Smogon and Pokémon Showdown as the data source.
Code, design, copywriting, schemas and derived analytics (deltas, rankings, matchup scores) are the intellectual property of Pokékipe and its contributors.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Pokékipe is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, up-to-date, or that results from the analytics will lead to winning battles or tournaments. Competitive Pokémon is a game; use Pokékipe as a tool, not as truth.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Pokékipe and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service — including lost battles, lost rating, lost tournament placings, lost sleep or lost teams.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Pokékipe at any time if you violate these terms, if required by law, or to protect the integrity of the service. You may stop using Pokékipe at any time by closing the tab or deleting your account.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on our Discord server and reflected on this page. The "updated" date at the top always shows the latest revision. Continuing to use Pokékipe after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute arising out of or related to Pokékipe that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent French courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your habitual residence.
